Mill Creek Entertainment has announced their slate of releases for July, 2020. 12 Monkeys: The Complete Series  will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, collecting all four seasons. Both the DVD version and the Blu-ray version are 8-disc sets. Honor and Remember: Stories of Vietnam  is a collection of six documentaries highlighting the stories of veterans of the Vietnam War. The 2-disc set also includes digital. Day of the Warrior (1996) and Return to Savage Beach (1998) , the final two films in Andy Sidaris' Malibu Bay Films 12-movie cycle, arrive in Blu-ray/Digital combo editions.  The complete  Inner Sanctum Mysteries movie collection Blu-ray set which was originally slated for May has been rescheduled for July 21st. Scream Factory has released quite a few horror classics in the last few weeks, including their Universal Horror Collection Volume 1, which is already on track to be one of the best releases of the entire year! In this video, we dig deep into the Universal and Universal-International titles that have recently hit Blu-ray, exploring their special features and discussing what makes these movies so timeless!

Scream Factory is present at San Diego Comic Con and has revealed a list of titles that will be headed to Blu-ray soon. The upcoming release slate includes some Hammer Films titles that will be headed to Blu-ray for the first time ever, as well as a series of upgraded re-releases and a few box sets. The release we're most excited about here at C@M is "Universal Horror Collection Vol.3," which will feature   Tower of London (with Vincent Price!) , Man Made Monster, The Black Cat (1941), and Horror Island! When it comes to the icons of horror, none are more famous than the Universal Monsters! Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Creature From the Black Lagoon are the most recognized monsters ever to grace the silver screen. In this video, we'll talk about what makes them special and why they've endured for nearly a century.

The first sequel to 1933's groundbreaking special effects horror smash The Invisible Man didn't arrive until 1940, a full seven years after the movie that precedes it. Things had changed so much in movie making that The Invisible Man Returns  feels like it comes from an entirely different era of film; yet, a quick review of the facts shows that Universal never stopped creating horror films, and the seven years that span between The Invisible Man and The Invisible Man Returns  are filled with some true classics. So why does The Invisible Man Returns feel so different?

I recently had the great pleasure of picking up Universal's newly-released The Invisible Man Legacy Collection , which contains all six films from the classic horror series. As I've been making my way through the set, it occurs to me that I've been unfair to this particular franchise; I have relegated the character of The Invisible Man to second-string status, not of the same pedigree as the titans of horror, particularly Bela Lugosi's Dracula, Boris Karloff's Frankenstein, and Lon Chaney Jr.'s Wolf Man. In all honesty, I'm still struggling with whether or not The Invisible Man, The Creature From The Black Lagoon, and The Mummy exist on a lower level than their iconic brethren, but I will also admit that I think I've misjudged The Invisible Man, particularly the first film in the series from 1933. It's time for a Cereal At Midnight review!

A new Mummy movie is looming from Universal with promises (threats?) that it's the first of a new shared universe (a "Dark Universe," if you will) that will revive all their classic monsters for modern popcorn munchers. Because the marketing machine is in full swing, all the previous Mummy movies have just been re-released, with some of them restored in HD for the first time.What better excuse to binge on classic horror?
