Mego At Target: It's Not Over Yet!

Figures are showing up in stores that didn't have them at launch, and the promise of continued supply to those stores means that everyone should have a chance to join in the fun. Way Off Target: Target's Disappointing MEGO Launch


On July 29th, 2018, Marty Abrams' legendary toy line MEGO returned to the market for the first time in decades. At least, that was the plan. Partnering with the retail giant Target, MEGO was set to launch exclusive figures in stores and online just days after a panel at San Diego Comic Con International. The hype among fans was huge. The anticipation was even bigger. However, when launch day arrived, most fans couldn't find the figures in their local Target stores. Frustrated and disappointed toy enthusiasts took to social media to vent their frustration. A small selection of figures are available online at Target.com, but is the damage done?
