By the Power AND the Honor of Grayskull! After years of being out of print and commanding ever-increasing prices on eBay and other second-hand seller markets, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release box sets collecting the entire series of both  He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra: Princess of Power  on October 1st! All 130 episodes of the original He-Man  series will be presented on 16 discs and all 93 episodes of the original She-Ra  television series are presented on 12 discs. Both box sets include a ton of extras, and both sets will contain the feature-length documentary  Power of Grayskull: The Definitive History of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe  as well as the feature film  He-Man and She-Ra: Secret of the Sword  and the hour-long  He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special.  But that's not all!

It's only been a little over a year since its debut, but Stranger Things has become a massive pop culture phenomenon and an incredible success for Netflix. We've boiled that success down to three key factors that we believe are the secret to the show's popularity and achievements.

I just sat down and re-watched the 2005 remake of John Carpenter's 1980 classic The Fog . I had seen it when it was new, which I guess makes sense, since I was in my mid-twenties back in 2005 and pretty much the entire cast was also of a similar age at the time. You could even argue that the movie was tailor made for me: it stars Tom Welling, whom I really enjoyed on Smallville, Maggie Grace, who I watched on Lost, and Selma Blair, who was--and still is--reason enough to watch any movie. So by starring actors I was interested in and who were also close to my own age, The Fog  felt current. And yet that movie failed to make much of an impression on me in 2005, so much so that my memory of it since then has been that's it's okay, but really just "meh." But in the years since I saw the remake, I did see (and subsequently fell in love with) John Carpenter's original. If adventure has a cousin, it must be Allan Quatermain. King Solomon's Mines has had quite the lifespan. The story began life in 1885 as an adventure novel by H. Rider Haggard. Some call Haggard the father of the "Lost World" sub-genre, and still others consider him to be the ancestor of the kind of pulp fiction that dominated comic and newsstand shelves from the '30s to the '60s. There have been six feature films based on his book, with the most notable movie versions being made in 1937 and 1950. This 1985 version is the first one that seems to be made with laughs in mind. Honestly, I don't think much of what was in that original novel has survived for the screen in this particular adaptation. Now, thanks to Olive Films, I've recently had a chance to revisit Cannon's 1985's pulp adventure film   King Solomon's Mines.
