U.S. Space and Rocket Center: Home of Space Camp! (Huntsville, Alabama, SpaceCamp)

Let's explore the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama! This facility is home to the world-class science installation that served as ground zero for the space exploration research and development during the 1950s and 1960s. Today it's the home of Space Camp, the program that encourages and educates future astronauts and explorers! it's also the primary filming location for the 1986 movie "SpaceCamp," directed by Harry Winer and starring Kate Capshaw (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) Lea Thomspon (Back to the Future), Tate Donavan (Disney's Hercules), and Joaquin Phoenix, aka Leaf Phoenix (Gladiator).

Our day at the Space and Rocket Center gives a good overview of what you'll find at this awesome museum and facility and can help you plan your own trip!
